The P.E. Department is staffed by three (3) full time teachers and three (3) coaches. Our Physical Education classes expose our students to three (3) sporting disciplines in each Grade level from Grade 7 to Grade 9. In Grades 10 and 11 they are exposed to another two disciplines.

Our list of sports include: Track and Field, Netball, Swimming, Badminton, Tennis, Basketball and aerobics. On completing five (5) years at this noble institution each child would have been exposed to all of these disciplines.

Our exploits in sports are numerous as we strive to be the engine for the Holy Childhood High School spirit.

We participate in all major competitions related to our five (5) competitive sporting disciplines:

  1. Track and Field
  2. Netball
  3. Swimming
  4. Tennis
  5. Basketball

While Holy Childhood is not a choice school for track and field, netball or swimming, our year to year results show that we are a force to be respected. The Department takes pride in the fact that we take students without any sporting background and prepare them to compete in the same arena as other established sports personalities entering high school. We turn regular students into top athletes while other top performing schools recruit already established athletes for their teams.

Here at Holy Childhood we give hope, create dreams, and transform the lives of students who would not normally be absorbed into a sports programme at another top performing school. Over the years our Department’s capable teachers and coaching staff have impacted the lives of numerous students; many of whom have gone on to serve their country at the National Level.
